Voters, What Makes You Anxious?

Polls and other research suggest a growing anxiety about fundamental things: security, economic prospects, and even identity.

As part of a project with NPR - which is taking a closer look at the American voter's state of mind - we open the phones to voters to find out which issues make them anxious heading into the 2016 presidential election.

Here are the questions - you can choose to answer all of them, or just one:

  • We know people are angry this election year. Look past the anger and tell us what makes you anxious about the future of our country?
  • Is your anger about the state of our union driven by anxiety about the state of our union? What makes you anxious about America today and who does that anxiety make you angry at?
  • Does your anxiety about the country leave you more liberal or more conservative than you were before?
  • How much does demographic change make you anxious?
